i think i walked into it right as it was beginning
200 or more people in this eerie musical-like synchronized dance
i was the most delighted i've been in a long time.
and it was actually kind of a good workout!
think about dancin really hard for an hour...

everyone out there together sweating under the moon
the bright city lights towering in skyscrapers above like thousands of little stars

This is Heidi your neighbor here! Reading about all your exploits and the crazy things you are happening upon reminds me so much of when we lived in Japan. It makes me miss all the crazy little discoveries and the excitement of things being new every day.
I have to say too that you are adjusting very well. I know you have had your moments and it can be overwhelming. I don't remember feeling comfortable and in control for about 3 months--and I had Pete with me.
You should publish a book of all your experiences some day. It is very funny and entertaining to read about.

I hope they had speakers, aerobics classes are horribly frustrating if you can't here the instructions, and with a group of 200 participants outdoors, shouting probably doesn't cut it. That's cool you're ballsy enough to just hop right in though.
